Dr. Carie Schneider is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication, English and Foreign Languages at Cameron University, where she teaches literary theory, American literature, and English composition, among other courses. She received her PhD in English from the University of Arizona in 2018, with a dissertation examining the formal forces of memory and hope in the American novel. Her work has been published in Leviathan: A Journal of Melville Studies, Edge Effects, and The LA Review of Books, and featured in The C19 Podcast, a production of the Society of Nineteenth-Century Americanists.
